The first images and possible prices of the soon-to-be-released new DJI Mini 3 model – without the Pro add-on – are now available. Based on the appearance of the new drone, the expected technical details can be deduced.

It has recently become known that DJI will also launch a slimmed-down version of its DJI Mini 3 Pro. The DJI Mini 3 – without Pro – follows a similar path as DJI has already taken with the Classic model of the Mavic 3. The existing drone model will be stripped of some features and offered at a lower price.

Photos of the Mini 3 Non-Pro

The first pictures and renders of the Mini 3 as a standard version, i.e. without the Pro, are now making the rounds on Twitter.

You can see that the front- and rear-facing obstacle sensors have disappeared. One of the great features of the DJI Mini 3 Pro. However, the camera with its 90° rotating gimbal seems to have remained unchanged. So here’s hoping that the camera system remains identical to the Pro variant.

Other shots also show the scope of delivery of the Mini 3 including DJI RC remote control. The drone will most likely be available as a standard and Fly More Combo variant (see photos below). Whether the Mini 3 will also be available for purchase individually is still open.

Higher flight time than the Pro model

Photos of the packaging also reveal that the Mini 3 will have a flight time of 38 minutes. That would be 4 minutes more than the Mini 3 Pro.

Another tweet briefly summarizes the changes between Mini 3 Pro and Mini 3.

Possible prices of the Mini 3 Non-Pro

According to a screenshot from the online store ithome.com, the Fly More combo of the DJI Mini 3 non-Pro should cost £827.97.

In a tweet from another user, there is a sort of summary of the presumed prices in euros.

Mini 3 release date

Because it’s so much fun, another tweet followed mentioning December 9, 2022 as the Mini 3’s expected release date.
