As with most drones from DJI, the DJI Mini 4 Pro also has an internal memory that basically allows you to take pictures without an additional memory card. However, since the memory is only 2GB small, it doesn’t have much room for many high-resolution photos or videos. Thus, anyone who seriously wants to take their Mini 4 Pro on the road will not be able to avoid buying an additional memory card.

In addition to the above recommendation, the following other models are also suitable for use in the DJI Mini 4 Pro. When selecting the right size, personal usage behavior plays a role above all. The DJI Mini 4 Pro can use memory cards up to a maximum size of 512GB. We recommend at least 256GB, but ideally you should use the maximum to avoid annoying card changes.

Which specifications are important for the memory card?
Important for the operation of suitable memory cards in the DJI Mini 4 Pro is the write speed of the storage medium. For 4K video recording, cards with the classification UHS-I Speed Class 3 (guaranteed minimum write speed: 30 MB/s) and the marking V30 are recommended. Do I need a memory card for the DJI Mini 4 Pro?
Since the drone has an internal memory, an external memory card is not absolutely necessary for use. However, as already mentioned, the internal memory only holds 2GB. That is enough for a few shots, but not for long photo or video sessions with 4K video material. Therefore, we recommend buying an additional memory card.
