Since the DJI Mavic 3 Pro also comes without a memory card and only the Cine version has an integrated hard drive, we provide you with a list of the best memory cards for the Mavic 3 Pro. The information is based on recommendations directly from DJI.

Due to the high resolution of the Mavic 3 Pro with its 5.1k capable main camera, special demands are placed on the memory card. So if you want to use the full potential of your shots without limitations, you should orientate yourself on the following list of the best DJI Mavic 3 Pro memory cards. We have deliberately followed DJI’s recommendations for the memory cards.

The best Mavic 3 Pro memory cards

DJI gives some official advice on suitable memory cards for the Mavic 3 Pro. These vary from 64GB to the highest possible 512GB and meet the manufacturer’s stated requirements. In particular, the write speed is important in order to reliably store data on the storage device at the supported bit rate.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro internal memory

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro comes standard with 8 gigabytes of internal memory. However, there is no extra memory card included with the drone. This is not a lot of space, especially for 4K or 5.1K recordings. However, in order to be able to make sufficient recordings during the flight, the Mavic 3 Pro supports memory cards (micro SD cards) with up to 512 GB of storage space. For the first test flights, the 8 GB will initially be sufficient, but anyone who seriously takes pictures with the drone will not get around an additional memory card.

By the way, the DJI Mavic 3 Cine has an integrated 1 TB SSD hard drive. An additional memory card can also be added to this variant to expand the memory by up to 512 GB.

Important note: Apple’s ProRes 422 HQ code is only supported with the Mavic 3 Pro Cine. Shots in this format cannot be recorded to inserted memory cards.

Do I need a memory card for the Mavic 3 Pro?

As the Mavic 3 Pro models are equipped with built-in memory, an external memory card is not mandatory. However, the drone’s internal memory is only 8 gigabytes in the standard version. For this reason, we recommend using an external memory card for the standard version. If you shoot videos in high quality, you will otherwise be confronted with a lack of free memory after just a few minutes.

The Mavic 3 Pro Cine has enough storage space for the time being thanks to the integrated SSD hard drive. Of course, it can also be expanded with a memory card.
