With the listing of the DJI Avata FPV drone in the FCC database, the release is probably a big step closer. Entries in the product database always point to a product release soon.
The DJI Avata FPV drone is likely coming sooner than previously thought. The CineWhoop-like device is now listed by name in the FCC’s product registry (QF2W4K22), where it was discovered. Also surfacing in the database are the DJI Goggles 2 and the O3 Air Unit.
What do we already know about the DJI Avata?
Previous rumors about the DJI Avata still leave many specifications open. However, since the first images of the drone have already been spotted, it can be assumed that the DJI Avata will be a CineWhoop drone that is also suitable for indoor flights, as mentioned above. It should also be much smaller and more compact than the previous DJI FPV drone and thus appeal to a different target group.
According to the FCC entry, the Avata is powered by a 2,420 mAh battery. This could indicate a long flight time of 20 minutes or more. Video images would likely be recorded in 4K, with software image stabilization. No other technical specs are known yet, but should very likely make the rounds shortly.
DJI Avata release date
As usual, the FCC entry unfortunately does not provide a concrete release date. However, we assume that it will only be a few weeks until DJI will make an official announcement about the drone. Until then, we will of course keep you up to date on this topic.

DJI Goggles 2 and O3 Air unit
Besides the Avata, there are also the new video glasses Goggles 2 (or Goggles V3) and the O3 Air Unit. However, no significant details are known about these. Nor whether these components will be directly related to the DJI Avata.
