DJI will officially unveil its first new product for 2023 in just a few days, but it will not be a drone, but another model of its RS 3 gimbal models.
Yesterday, DJI announced the first product launch for 2023 via its official social media channels. However, all those who were already looking forward to a new drone will be disappointed. The new product will be another model of the RS 3 gimbal product line.
The official product launch will take place on January 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. CET.
As usual with DJI, there is also a teaser page for this product presentation, which offers a preview of the new product. Here, the presentation of all details in the form of a video and the matching store page will take place on time.
DJI RS 3 Mini
The new model can already be seen in the shown teaser of the product announcement. It also shows how it compares to the two previous models.
Based on leaks from an FCC entry, it is also already known what the model will be called: DJI RS 3 Mini.
This suggests that DJI does not want to replace the product range, but rather add a smaller model. The RS 3 Mini will most likely be aimed at smaller camera models that weigh less than the RS 3 and RS 3 Pro. Accordingly, a lower price can probably be assumed. In this way, DJI can address a new group of customers for whom the previous models were too big and too expensive.
