As with any drone, the weight of the DJI Avata is interesting. It weighs 410g, which puts the drone on the lower end of the scale, which is hardly surprising considering the expected size. The maximum flight time of 18 minutes is quite good for a drone of this type and size.

The other specs talk about a 4K resolution with up to 60FPS, downward facing vision sensors, 20GB of internal storage, and a maximum speed of up to around 97 km/h in manual mode.

DJI Avata release date

As mentioned, such a flow of information about new DJI drones usually points to an official unveiling soon. This is usually always done via a separate teaser website from DJI, which gets people in the mood for a new product in cryptic terms. The page is usually released around a week before DJI’s official unveiling. In the leaks mentioned above, a possible date is also thrown into the room: August 23, 2022.

So we could expect a corresponding page from DJI as early as next week. Of course, we will keep you up to date in our blog.
