According to current rumors, the DJI Air 2S drone will receive support for the DJI RC remote control this month. The info is said to come directly from DJI support.
According to a tweet from the Twitter account @DealsDrone, known for its DJI Leaks, the Air 2S is expected to receive support for the latest DJI RC remote control during the current month. So far, the DJI RC is only compatible with the DJI Mavic 3, DJI Mavic 3 Cine and DJI Mini 3 Pro.
The info allegedly comes directly from a Chinese DJI support employee, as you can see in the screenshot of the chat. Unfortunately, we cannot say whether this is true. However, the Twitter user has always been known for reliable leaks.
Support for the DJI RC is to be established via firmware update for both devices. So you should be informed about a corresponding update if you own one or both of the devices.
DJI RC support for the Air 2S
The support of the DJI RC would certainly please many owners of the Air 2S. With the DJI RC (technical data), DJI has brought a very practical and relatively inexpensive remote control on the market. Unlike the usual DJI RC-N1 window control, the DJI RC already has an integrated display and the pre-installed DJI Fly app. Thus, no separate smartphone is necessary to fly compatible drones with the RC remote control. With a unit price of €299, it is also very attractively priced, as the previous DJI RC Pro is significantly more expensive with an MSRP of €999.
